New horizons with erPUB 2.1.0: improvements, features and Docker support

We are pleased to announce the release of erPUB 2.1.0 on August 17, 2022, a significant update that includes numerous improvements, new features and the long-awaited Docker container support. This update addresses key requirements of our users and extends the functionality of erPUB to ensure seamless and efficient data processing.

New features:

  • Rest Output Operator: A new way to seamlessly integrate your data into REST-based systems.
  • Custom Async transformation operator: Extend the flexibility of data processing with user-defined, asynchronous transformations.
  • Docker container support: erPUB is now available as a Docker container, which greatly simplifies deployment and scaling.
  • HTTPS support: For improved security during data transmission.
  • Automatic Influx Buckets: erPUB can now create Influx Buckets from the configuration if they do not yet exist.
  • erPUB Plugins: A new level of customization and extensibility.
  • REST interface for license details: Check your license details easily via a new REST interface.

Improvements:

  • Improved log outputs: The formatting of the log outputs has been optimized to increase readability.
  • Better Influx support: Adjustments have been made to improve compatibility and performance with Influx.
  • Log file size limitation: To save disk space, the size of log files is now limited.

Bug Fixes:

  • A critical error concerning the application of the logging configuration has been fixed.
