It’s hard to believe that Hannover Messe 2024 is already over! The experiences and impressions remain fresh, and we at erminas are full of enthusiasm about what we saw and experienced there.
The trade fair was a veritable firework of innovation – artificial intelligence (AI), cyber security and smart sensors took center stage and impressively demonstrated where the industry is heading. We were particularly impressed by the use of AI in error detection and process optimization, which not only increases productivity, but also shows how indispensable intelligent systems already are today. It was fascinating to see how AI creates trust through explainable approaches – a decisive step towards broad acceptance.
A particular highlight for us was the inspiring presentation by our CTO, Dr. Yvette Teiken, entitled “The Gravity of Change”. She shed impressive light on how the Internet of Things (IoT) is transforming the industry. Her presentation made it clear that the rapid technological development means a serious change for all industries and that companies that rise to this challenge will be among the pioneers of change. The combination of IoT, AI and intelligent automation is not just a vision, but already a reality in many areas of industry.
Another major topic was cyber security. With the focus on the Cyber Resilience Act, it became clear that security standards and protection against threats – both internal and external – are becoming increasingly important. Particularly exciting: the many practical solutions that not only offer technical defense mechanisms, but also focus on the human component, such as training and awareness-raising.
And then there are the smart sensors: they are the basis for Industry 4.0, and the Hannover Messe has shown that the future of production lies in networking and optimization through precise, reliable sensors. Whether Single Pair Ethernet or maintenance-free systems – the innovations are here, and they will revolutionize the way we produce.

Thanks also to all the co-exhibitors, whose energy and innovative spirit made the trade fair an incomparable experience. We are inspired and look forward to incorporating these ideas into our work!
