It is with great pleasure that we announce the release of erPUB 2.4.0, which took place on June 7, 2023. This update extends the functionality of erPUB with a variety of new features, makes the platform even more flexible and addresses important areas for improvements and bug fixes. The aim is to provide our users with an even more robust and adaptable environment for their data processing requirements.

New features:

  • Websocket Proxy Operator: Enables efficient management of websocket connections to support seamless real-time data communication.
  • Windows Installer: The quick and easy way to install erPUB on Windows systems.
  • REST Input Operator: Facilitates the integration of REST-based data sources into your data processing workflows.
  • File Output Operator: Provides flexible options for writing data to files, which improves data storage and archiving.

Improvements:

  • Flexibility without Influx: erPUB can now be started without the need for an InfluxDB as a database, which expands the platform’s application possibilities.

Bug Fixes:

  • Correction in the OperatorBuffer, which now writes JSON files correctly in Docker containers.
  • Missing logs of various plugins are now generated correctly, which improves transparency and troubleshooting.
  • Websocket connections no longer suffer from faulty multiple closures and their stability has been improved.
  • Message processing now waits for the web sockets to be fully established, which increases the reliability of data transmission.

With these updates, erPUB 2.4.0 reinforces our commitment to providing a powerful, flexible and user-friendly platform for all your data processing needs. We believe that these improvements and new features will add significant value to your projects and look forward to seeing how you use them.
