It was an eventful week at SPS 2019: once again this year, we rocked the SPS smart production solutions together with the Revolution Pi makers from Kunbus GmbH. It was noticeable in this anniversary year of the trade fair: Inquiries relating to digitization, Industry 4.0 and Industrial IoT were more specific than in previous years.
SPS - Smart Production Solutions
Over the last three days, almost 64,000 visitors came to the SPS smart production solutions trade fair in Nuremberg to find out about smart and digitized automation. It was noticeable this year that trade visitors approached service providers and manufacturers in a much more targeted manner. In recent years, our consultants and developers have often had to convey the technical basics of digitization in their discussions with industry representatives and explain possible approaches for data harvesting and its potential, for example. This year, it was mainly trade visitors with clear ideas and concrete concepts who came to the stand.
“We can now talk directly to most visitors about visions and solutions,” says ermina’s IIoT consultant Boris Crismancich about his impressions of SPS. “What was also particularly surprising was the range of ideas that were brought to us and that we were able to discuss at a high professional level.” The knowledge curve in terms of digitization in the industry has clearly gone steeply upwards.
Dream Team: Hand in hand with Kunbus
Once again this year, we presented our IIoT showcase at the stand of fieldbus manufacturer Kunbus GmbH. Our teams have been working closely and efficiently together for years, which was also reflected in the good atmosphere at booth 228 in hall 5.
“The erminas team always manages to surprise us with great projects in which they use the Revolution Pi,” explains Head of Marketing Ekkehard Krebs from Kunbus. “And the feedback from their experiences in the field always helps us to continuously improve our devices.”
